Q1: Can I apply for both Generalist and Hindi streams?
A1: No. You must apply for only ONE discipline. Multiple applications render all applications invalid; only the latest valid completed application will be retained.

Q2: I scored 59.99% — am I eligible for the Generalist post?
A2: No. The ad treats 59.99% as less than 60%; fractions are ignored. Ensure you have the required 60% (55% for SC/ST).

Q3: Official ad says 1–15 Dec, but I saw 3–18 Dec somewhere — which is correct?
A3: The official PDF shows 1–15 Dec as registration dates. If you saw 3–18 Dec on other portals, treat that as unconfirmed unless OICL updates its recruitment webpage. Always cross-check https://orientalinsurance.org.in. OICL_Advertisement_for_AO_2025_…

Q4: What if I need a scribe?
A4: PwBD candidates who qualify can use a scribe as per government guidelines — you must register for a scribe in the online application and provide a medical certificate in the prescribed format; compensatory time applies. Misuse leads to disqualification.

Q5: Are Prelims and Mains online?
A5: Yes. Both Phase I (Prelims) and Phase II (Mains) objective tests are online. Descriptive tests are typed online immediately after the objective test.

Q6: Fee payment failed — what to do?
A6: If the e-receipt is not generated, the payment likely failed. Re-login with Provisional Registration No. & Password and retry payment. Keep transaction proof.

Q7: Where to download call letters?
A7: Download call letters from the Oriental Insurance website using Registration Number / Password / DOB. Affix the same photo as in the application on the call letter.
